I have just watched a 1978 animated version of Lord of the Rings. Ok, a few things… Aragorn was native american. Gimili was a Viking with short-shorts. Sam had some kind of birth defect. The Balrog is like a mix between a moth and a buffalo. And, halfway through the movie, Pippin’s hair color changed. A quite marvelous rendition, I dare say.
